On Wednesday the 21st of September my classmates, teachers and I headed off to county Offaly to the Ploughing championships 2016.
When we first got there we went to the carnival, there was loads of rides to choose from and they were all very enjoyable. After a while we decided to get food in the food stalls. There was loads of options to choose from.
We walked around most of the stalls throughout the day. There was various GAA stalls where county hurlers were selling hurleys and other sports gear such as Joe Canning. There were many superstores there as well like Lidl, Tesco and Supervalu.
Throughout the day we experienced the farming tradition and it was very enjoyable. We left The Ploughing around 3:30 after spending 6/7 hours in it.
It was a great day out for everyone. I gained more knowledge on the farming lifestyle and found it all very interesting. I enjoyed our experience at the Ploughing championships and would love to return next year.
