I attended the ploughing championships on the 14th of September . The ploughing took place in Tullamore in County Offaly. We had to meet at the school for 6.50 and we left at 7 .Ms Doherty and Ms Darcy came with us. We arrived in Tullamore at 10 0 clock . We went to the ploughing matches for an educational day trip and to help come up with ideas for mini companies. There was 111,000 people there on the day we went. It was extremely packed and hard to remember where to go. There was a large amount of other schools there and a lot of people our age. We all had to stay in a group of at least 4 so we walked around looking at stalls such as Tesco, RTE, Eir and we also went into the O'Neill's shop. We then went to the carnival where there was loads of different rides we could go on. I feel like the rides didn't last long enough for the money paid. Also , I found that the people working in the carnival were very impatient and unfriendly. After the carnival, we went to get food. Some of the food was very expensive so me and Kelly decided to split money for a pizza so we would have money left over in case we wanted to buy something. We had to be on the bus for 2 o clock so we made our way back to the bus at 1.40 to ensure we had plenty of time spare in case we got lost. We didn't leave until about 3 o clock as someone got lost. We came back to school at 5 o clock . I enjoyed every part of the ploughing championships and would 100% go again.
