On the 1st of September our class went on a trip to Newgrange Lodge. The class that went was the new transition year class of 2016. We went on this trip so that everybody could mix and have a chance to hang out with new people and make new friends. We did many things on this trip such as rock wall climbing we also did an obstacle course, grass sledding, paintballing and so much more. We also did many team activities that helped everybody work together and was great for bringing people closer and giving us the experience of working in a group. The Lodge was only a few minutes away from the River Boyne. The people on this trip include the girls from the two transition year classes and two of our home economics teachers. I felt this was an excellent trip and I feel I gained many things from this trip. I have gained more confidence when speaking to people that I wouldn’t normally talk to and experience of working in a team which has taught me that everybody in the group has to put in some effort or the team as a whole won’t work. The staff on this trip were very friendly and helpful. Overall I really enjoyed this trip and feel I learned so much from this experience. I would definitely love to do it again.
