When we first arrived at Newgrange we did team bonding games with the leaders who were very friendly and funny. We then enjoyed a lunch of goujons and chips. After lunch we then took part in various other activities including kayaking, rock climbing and paintball shooting. These activities were all highly enjoyable and the transition years really came together as a group as they had to work in teams. These really helped us to mix and get to know new people. We got to stay overnight in Newgrange and a delicious meal of lasagne was followed by a movie night before everyone went to their rooms which were cosy and warm.
The following day was spent doing more team games which really helped bring the ty students together as a group. The transition years were all very tired when they arrived back at mercy after a wonderful trip. From this trip I made new friend and learned that transition year is all about teamwork and doing your best.
