On September 1st, we went on out TY Induction to New Grange Lodge. We left on Thursday morning at 9:15 am and arrived around 10 am. When we got there we were split into four teams. The instructors were so nice!! We began with some the ram building exercises as a whole class and played a game called splat! We then split into our four teams. My team began with he rock climbing and we had a great time. After this we went and done paint balling where we were aiming for milk cartons and bottles. At this point we were all starving and couldn't wait for our chicken goujons and chips. After we'd eaten it was my teams turn to take part doing the obstacle course. And our final activity of the day was well worth the wait which was the kayaking. We had so much fun jumping into extremely smelly water, and although it was freezing it didn't stop us! However we were extremely grateful for the warm showers after! That night we chilled in the lounge and watched a film and around 10 all went to bed after along day. The next day came very quickly and it wasn't long before we were up at 7 and had to be at breakfast by 8. There was a range of cereals and pancakes for breakfast. The day's activities consisted of wilderness work, which wasn't the best! Then we had so much fun on the rock climbing wall, more team building activities such as sitting on each other and finally the grass sledges! Over all the trip was so much fun and I really enjoyed getting to know more people and trying new things!
