On the 21st of September we went on an educational day trip to the Ploughing Match in Tullamore. We left Navan at 7am and arrived at there at around 10. When we arrived we had to get our wristbands and then we went off in our groups. We went to many different places such as O'Neill's where they sell loads of different county jerseys, RTE and we got to see many different animals and machinery. As you were looking at the animals we got to learn about them too. With the cows we got to learn the many different types of cows there is. When we were looking at the machinery we got to learn what each machine was used for, for example the plough and the harvester. We also came across Gerry Adams and we got to talk to him and some people got in pictures with him. After all that we then went to the food stalls to get food. Some stalls were extremely dear but we found a pizza one that had reasonable prices. After we ate we went to the carnival and went on a few rides. Some rides were also extremely dear but again there was a few that were reasonable prices. One ride was 10 euro but the majority of them were around 4 euro. We spent a lot of our time at the carnival going on rides and talking to other people from other schools. We left the carnival a bit early to get to the bus on time and it's a good thing we did because it was extremely hard to find but we got there on time. We were meant to leave at around 2 but due to a few people getting lost we were a bit late leaving. In the end everyone was found safely and we left at around 3:45 and arrived back in Navan at 5pm. The weather stayed good for us up until the end and my legs were in bits from all the walking but it was a really good day all the same.
