The Ploughing Championships this year were based in Tullamore, Co Offaly. The day started off when we left the school at 7am. The bus journey took us two hours to get to our destination. We got our entrance tickets on the bus. We all separated and had a meeting point for when it was time to go.
First of all me and my friends went to the stalls and looked around. There were stalls everywhere including and there was a wide variety of types of stalls including Aldi, Lidl, Eir, Eddie Rockets and people selling different types fo farm products. It was very interesting to see all the farming culture.
There was also a carnival which I spent most of my time at. It wasn't cheap I can tell you!! We then went to look at the tractor football, it was great craic!
After that we went for food and had pizza from a Papa John's stall. It was so crowded and so big that it wasn't easy to find your way around it. We then all went back to the bus, which was a disaster to find! But eventually we got home. The Ploughing was a great experience and I hope to go back again next year.
